New Salford office to accommodate growth for recruitment company Start People
Recruitment firm Start People is aiming to increase its headcount to 30 after expanding into new premises.
The firm relocated its team to the Tower building at The Deva Centre in Salford, having outgrown its former premises at Chancery Place in Manchester.
Founded in January 2015 by David Edwards and Donna Hickman, Start People achieved a turnover of £2m in its first year of trading.
The company’s move to Salford was completed with the help of Manchester solicitors HRC Law, which instructed on the deal and secured the lease for David and Donna.
The transaction marks the second lease that HRC Law has advised Start People on this year, with the law firm completing on the recruitment company’s new Durham base in January.
Director David Edwards said of the growth: “2016 has seen us leap forward with regards to expansion. Our business, in terms of both client base and our own team, has been growing steadily since inception.
“We are thrilled that our office space can now cater for our growth and offer the space for us to continue in this direction.”
He added: “Helen and the team secured our Durham premises with such ease earlier this year and this second transaction went just as smoothly. We are now looking forward to getting settled in to our new home.”
In the coming months, HRC Law is expecting to receive further instructions from Start People for sites in Liverpool and Birmingham.
HRC Law partner and property solicitor Helen Marsh commented: “These types of transactions can play a large part in shaping the future of the business – especially when a business is exceeding its growth targets and needs to expand quickly.
“Start People’s new Manchester office will stand them in good stead for future growth. Congratulations to David, Donna and the whole team and here’s to the next chapter.”
