Deloitte has promoted one new partner and five directors in the Leeds office.

Chris Wildsmith has been promoted to partner in Transaction Services. Chris has been with the firm for 16 years, 12 of those in Transaction Services working on over 80 transactions.

Chris specialises in working with clients in the financial services sector.

The promoted directors include, Charlotte Desourdy, Audit & Risk Advisory; Matthew Nicholson, Financial Advisory; Elizabeth Simpson, Tax; Andrew Watford, Tax; and Louise Hunter, Audit & Risk Advisory.

Sarah Turner, Legatus Law

Legatus Law, the legal practice with offices in Leeds and London, has appointed Sarah Turner to the position of Head of Employment.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the legal sector and having worked in London, Manchester and Leeds, Sarah will be responsible for advising businesses and private individuals on all aspects of employment law from drafting contracts of employment and service agreements to work based disputes and employment tribunals.

Sarah qualified in 1990 after training in London. She relocated to the North in 1997 and started to practice in leading firms in Manchester and Leeds, the most recent being at Weightmans, Leeds.

Phil Harris, Brown Shipley

Brown Shipley, experts in wealth planning, investment management and private banking, has appointed Phil Harris as a Client Director in its Leeds office.

Phil has over ten years’ experience in the financial services industry having worked across a number of roles at HSBC, including most recently director and senior private banker.

Andrew Goodchild, head of Brown Shipley’s Leeds office, said: “We are delighted to welcome Phil to the team given his experience in the sector.

Frank Collins, JRI Orthopaedics

Sheffield-based healthcare company JRI Orthopaedics has appointed a new Chairman.

Frank Collins brings a wealth of experience in the medical devices and orthopaedic sector, having worked for most of his career at senior levels in UK-based healthcare organisations.

He also has international experience drawn from his time overseeing divisions and companies in Australia, Germany and France as well as managing commercial relationships with partners in many countries.

Mr Collis said: “I am delighted to join the JRI Board as its non-executive Chairman. The company is well known as a highly regarded and well established developer and provider of top quality orthopaedic implants and I feel privileged to have been invited to help contribute to its future development.”

JRI Orthopaedics specialises in the design, development and manufacture of orthopaedic implants and surgical instruments.

Mr Collins takes over from Brian Jones who has retired after a long career at JRI Orthopaedics, including six years as its Chairman.

Lee Bennett and Joseph Hughes, Propaganda

Propaganda, the Leeds-based brand consultancy, has promoted Lee Bennett and Joseph Hughes to the position of Joint Head of Creative.

Lee Bennett has been with Propaganda for more than a decade, and has previously held the position of Design Director. Joseph Hughes returns to the business as part of a renewed creative team, responsible for realising client strategies through strong creative output.

Laura Kynaston, Propaganda managing director, said: “Lee and Joseph are both held in very high regard in the industry, and bringing these two forces together in this new role will provide significant benefits to our clients and our work.

Adam Webster, Affecto

A Sheffield-based recruitment agency has announced the appointment of expert consultant Adam Webster.

A Senior Technology Recruiter with more than six years’ experience in the industry as a senior position holder joins Affecto, a multi-division technology recruitment agency from Mansfield-based Frontline.

The news follows the appointment of software and web development recruiter Peter Broughton.

Sarah Benson and Olivia Bates, KC Communications

KC Communications, the Huddersfield-based marketing, PR and social media agency, has appointed two further employees as the business’ turnover is on track to increase by 70% by the end of 2016.

KC Communications, which was founded in August 2014 by Katrina Cliffe has appointed an Account Manager and a Marketing Assistant.

Sarah Benson, who joins as Marketing Account Manager from a Leeds-based PR agency will be responsible for the management of both existing and new accounts whilst playing in key role in driving the business forward.

Olivia Bates has also joined as Marketing Assistant from local charity, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice to support the growing team.

Jason Crispin, Driver Hire

Bradford-based Driver Hire is strengthening its dh Logistics appointments team. Joining the transport and logistics recruiter is Jason Crispin.

Jason was previously with Hays Recruitment, where he specialised in IT appointments and, prior to that, worked in supply chain management recruitment.

In his new role as Business Manager, dh Logistics Appointments, Jason will be focusing on white collar permanent recruitment.

Key clients will be transport operators seeking suitable candidates for roles in middle management through to director level posts. His dh Logistics Appointments colleague, Sean Davis, will continue to look after the recruitment needs of clients in home delivery, freight and FMCG.
