Envirocare Meets 10-Year Milestone with Record Results
North West headquartered Envirocare Maintenance Solutions, the commercial gardening and grounds maintenance business, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with record results. Posting a 13% year on year revenue increase, this marks continued strong growth, with turnover increasing by 185% since 2011.
The business has travelled a long way over the past decade: at launch it was a North West operation with a staff of just two. It now has a national reach with 17 regional depots countrywide and employs in excess of 150 people, with additional seasonal workers.
Back in 2005 managing director David Yates, and fellow founding directors, had a very clear vision to grow a nationwide grounds maintenance business that would add real value to the businesses it served. Thanks to a relentless commitment to providing a professional, high quality service that goes beyond simple grounds maintenance to become the clients’ eyes and ears on the ground – so issues are spotted and resolved before they become major problems – Envirocare has far exceeded its ten-year business plan.
Serving sectors ranging from hospitality, to property management and from schools and educational facilities to business parks, notable longstanding clients include RMG, Whittle Jones, Aldi, Greene King pubs and Lancashire County Council. The business has not only grown by winning new customers but by increasing the number of sites it maintains for existing customers. Often starting out with one or two sites, impressed with the excellent customer service and value for money, over time clients often transfer more and more sites to Envirocare. Whittle Jones is one such customer. Having started with one site, Envirocare now maintains over 60 sites for the property management specialist.
Despite having posted great results, business shows no signs of resting on its laurels. Envirocare is investing in a new work management system to streamline operations, and has also recently appointed new members to the sales and marketing teams to drive nationwide sales.
According to the ambitious management team, the hard work has only just begun. Dave Yates, MD, said: “It’s been an exciting journey over the past 10 years, but we’ve only just reached base camp. We’ve continued to grow, even through times of national economic turmoil and budget cuts. I’m really proud when we grow our business with existing clients, as well as winning new accounts, as that’s the best testament to our dedication to ensuring our services exceed customers’ expectations and are great value for money.”
Envirocare is on course to hit its ambitious target of doubling the business’ turnover within the next three years.
