Harriet Sanders, Building Blocks' new internal recruiter

Manchester-based digital agency Building Blocks to create 20 jobs

Digital agency Building Blocks has unveiled plans to create at least 20 jobs within the next three months.

The Manchester firm has taken on a new internal recruiter, Harriet Sanders, who will work on increasing the company’s headcount to 100.

Joining Building Blocks from recruitment agency Outsource UK, Harriet will recruit across Building Blocks’ Manchester HQ and its operations in Zaragoza (Spain) and Boston (US).

Harriet’s appointment follows Building Blocks’ decision to join Dept, a new global group of digital agencies. In May, Building Blocks teamed up with four Dutch firms to form the group, whose members have a joint revenue of over €45m.

Sarah Steele, Building Blocks’ HR manager, said: “Harriet joins us at a pivotal time for the business.

“With our sustained growth and the merger with the other Dept agencies we recognised that we needed a dedicated team member to help us ensure we are continually attracting the digital industry’s top talent.”

Just recently, Building Blocks closed its most successful business year since it was founded nine years ago. The firm designs and builds digital solutions for international businesses.

Building Blocks CEO Jasper van de Luijtgaarden commented: “Employing Harriet felt like a very natural step for us as an agency.

“We want to attract the best of the best as we rapidly grow our global footprint.”
