This week’s Yorkshire appointments
hlw Keeble Hawson has appointed a marketing manager with experience in devising, implementing and driving traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
Simon Gorman’s work across the past 15 years includes key posts with Sheffield Newspapers Ltd and education recruiter, Synabor Plc - also based in Sheffield - where his role included devising UK and overseas marketing programmes, business development and organising events.
He said: “One of the most long-standing and respected law firms in the Yorkshire region, hlw Keeble Hawson’s reputation speaks volumes.
“As soon as I came across the tremendous opportunity to lead and further enhance its communications programme and online presence, I instinctively knew that this was the role for me.”

David Jockel, One Stop Business Finance
One Stop Business Finance has appointed David Jockel as non-executive director.
David has over 30 years’ experience working for Lloyds Bank in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire; the last 15 years of which working with SME business owners.
David Jockel said: “When working in banking you come across deals that you wish to back because of the quality of the people involved, but which don’t quite meet with Bank Credit Policy.
“One Stop Business Finance has a portfolio approach to the market, including the backing of some High Net Worth funders, which allows it to source the most appropriate funding for supportable transactions within the SME market and is developing a very strong track record in this space.
“Client feedback has been good; based largely on the speed of service and the flexibility of the offering.”

Emma Stanham and Tabitha Pugh, Pure
Pure, the Leeds-based integrated marketing agency, has expanded its PR division with two new appointments.
Emma Stanham and Tabitha Pugh join Pure’s PR team, which was set up at the end of 2014, after several new business wins, along with increased demand from existing clients.
With more than five years’ experience in the PR industry, Emma has joined Pure’s PR department as senior account manager. Emma joins the team from international charity and social enterprise, Emmaus. Prior to that she spent three years at Leeds-based integrated agency, Turn Key.
The second new recruit is Tabitha, who has joined the team as junior account executive. After spending a year in Europe helping to establish and market a holiday gîte business, Tabitha has earned valuable experience at Bonmarché and Leeds-based integrated advertising and marketing agency, Home.
Leanne Bayston, PR director at Pure, said: “The agency as a whole is experiencing rapid growth at the moment, and the PR department in particular is expanding at a profound rate.

James Shepherd and Amanda Holmes, Dransfield Properties
Two new directors have been appointed to the board of the South Yorkshire retail property company, Dransfield Properties.
The Sheffield-based firm has just launched the new £50 million Fox Valley development in Stocksbridge, north Sheffield.
Management surveyor James Shepherd and head of communications Amanda Holmes have both been invited to the company’s main board.
James joined Dransfield Properties six years ago after completing a Master’s Degree in Commercial Property, he heads up the company’s property management department.
Amanda Holmes has worked for Dransfield Properties for more than ten years and is responsible for the company’s Public Relations and Communications strategy. She has a background in broadcast and newspaper journalism.
Dransfield Properties has its head office at the new Fox Valley retail and office development which was officially opened by Joanna Lumley OBE on June 16th this year.
Mark Dransfield, managing director, said: “The last 12 months has been an busy period for Dransfield Properties which has seen us expand our property portfolio with the new Fox Valley development and our new retail development in Morpeth which neighbours Sanderson Arcade.
“We are delighted therefore to be strengthening our main board and welcoming James and Amanda – both have important roles in our business and can bring different strengths to the team.”
Dransfield Properties was formed in 1992 and is based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Stephanie Parish, Clarion
Stephanie Parish has been promoted to senior associate in Clarion’s private client team.
Having joined Clarion in 2008 and subsequently completed her training with the firm, Stephanie has spent the last six years working as an associate in the private client practice advising clients on a diverse range of legal issues from wills and incapacity to inheritance tax planning and wealth management.
In 2011, Stephanie achieved a distinction in the Administration of Trusts exam and in 2014 she completed the STEP (Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners) diploma in Trusts and Estates and was awarded a distinction overall.
Viv Wild, partner and head of Clarion’s private client team, said: “Steph has demonstrated real commitment to Clarion over the last eight years and has worked very hard to achieve this well-deserved promotion.
