The Sports Consultancy tasked with selling sponsorships for UK Athletics to 2020
London-based firm The Sports Consultancy has been appointed by UK Athletics to market its sponsorship and partner slots leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The consultancy business, which has previously worked with the likes of London and Partners and British Cycling, will be tasked with marketing the UK sports governing body’s sponsorship opportunities across all of British Athletics’ events and team activities, encompassing the whole Olympic cycle up to the Tokyo games in 2020.
With a jam-packed athletics timetable over the next four years, including back-to-back World Championships, Anniversary Games and the London 2017 Summer of Athletics, the consultancy has already sealed Muller and Strathmore as partners ahead of a busy few years.
UKA Chief Executive, Niels de Vos said: “We are very much looking forward to working with Marc and his team at The Sports Consultancy. Their work has already led to the recent appointments of Muller and Strathmore as British Athletics partners and we are confident many more will follow.

The Sports Consultancy;s rights marketing team is headed up by Marc Hope, who has over 30 years’ selling experience across numerous World and European Athletics Championships and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Following the appointment, Marc commented: “We are thrilled to be representing British Athletics at a time when we have such exciting, new talent coming through and we are hosting a number of world class athletics events.
Having already secured Muller as title partner and Nissan as Official Car supplier to the Anniversary Games, as well as Strathmore as official water we are looking forward to securing many more sponsorship agreements.“
