Network provider Metronet (UK) signs “landmark” £1m deal with Sofology
Network provider Metronet (UK) has teamed up with furniture company Sofology in a deal worth £1m.
The Manchester-headquartered firm is providing its network services for 33 Sofology sites across the UK, including the retailer’s HQ in Golborne, near Wigan.
Metronet (UK) underwent a formal tender process to secure the seven-figure contract, which includes the provision of both wireless and fibre connectivity.
Tony Hughes, the sales director at Metronet (UK), said, “Sofology is a landmark win for all parties. It truly demonstrates our commitment to both customers and the marketplace.
“Our technology solutions are simply far faster to install with exceptional resilience, robustness and flexible capacity. We are delighted that Sofology chose us to provide their connectivity solution.”
He added: “We look forward to working with Sofology and seeing how this solution transforms their customer experience and business operations.”
Sofology’s IT operations manager, Gavin Nickerson, commented: “We really want to revolutionise the way our customers shop in store and in order to do this we need a robust and reliable internet connection across our stores and HQ.
“Metronet (UK) are able to deliver exactly what we need, in the time frame we require and with excellent support to back it up.”
