Contour Showers expands care sector offer with six-figure investment

Contour Showers, a designer and manufacturer of easy-access showering products, has expanded its offer with investment from Yorkshire Bank.

The Winsford-based company used the six-figure investment to purchase tooling for the development of a new wetroom former for the care sector.

Contour Showers’ new ShowerDec floor former will allow builders to avoid having to create a fall in the floor when creating a wetroom, potentially saving them time and resources.

William Hogg, the firm’s MD, hopes to quickly roll out the wetroom former to clients such as architects, local authorities and building or plumbing contractors throughout the UK.

He commented: “The ShowerDec compliments the rest of the Contour Showers range perfectly.

“We’re thrilled to have been able to bring this product to market so quickly with the support of Yorkshire Bank.”

He continued: “We are confident the product will be recognised as the best on the market and will save our customers time and money, allowing them to get on with the job at hand, whether that’s a general needs adaptation, building a private care home or within local authority housing.”

The funding deal was delivered by Mike Scott, a relationship manager based at Yorkshire Bank’s Merseyside customer banking centre.

The head of the centre, Ian Walkden, said: “Contour Showers has a proud history in Cheshire and provide a valuable service to communities in the North West and further afield.

“We have no doubt the directors will continue to take the Company from strength-to-strength by continuing to develop new and innovative products.”

Ian added: “Yorkshire Bank is committed to supporting the growth ambitions of growing North West businesses like Contour Showers.”
