Meadowhall sweetens the deal with new confectionery retailer
Confectionery retailer The Treat Kitchen is set to open its fifth store in Meadowhall shopping centre.
On Saturday September 3rd, the Deputy Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Anne Murphy, will be cutting the ribbon and officially opening the new confectionery store at the Sheffield shopping destination.
Originally set up in Nottingham by Jess and Martin Barnett in September 2014, the Treat Kitchen is a gourmet, family run confectionery retailer.
After achieving significant success with The Treat Kitchen in the East Midlands, Jess and Martin set out to expand the business into Meadowhall shopping centre.
The new store will sell over 300 different varieties of confectionery including traditionally made bon bons, 24 flavours of gourmet jelly beans, hard boiled classics like rhubarb and custards as well as Radioactive Sours – sour sweets made in Sheffield themselves.
The Treat Kitchen also produces its own assortment of handmade cream and butter fudge which is all made in store by Martin’s father Patrick.
The Treat Kitchen will also host a range of confectionery based gifts such as baking jars, luxury hampers and Belgian chocolate boxes.
