Muse sees all homes sold at The Gables in Doncaster as work on phase two is set to commence
Muse Developments has seen the sale of all 54 homes at the first phase of The Gables, a residential scheme located in the heart of Doncaster town centre.
All of the 54 one, two and three bed homes in the initial phase have been bought by buyers.
To keep up with demand, Muse Developments now has planning permission for a second phase of the scheme, and work will soon commence on a further 43 one and two bed homes.
The first homes in the second phase are expected to be ready to move into in spring 2017.
The Gables forms part of the £300m regeneration of Doncaster Civic and Cultural Quarter, which Muse is delivering in partnership with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council.
Muse also exchanged contracts this year with Savoy Cinemas for the delivery of a six-screen cinema at the scheme, which will complement the Cast theatre and create further family leisure facilities in the town centre.
Hollie Reynolds, residential sales and marketing manager at Muse, said: “Itâs fantastic to be celebrating the completion of phase one and look forward to phase two of The Gables.
“There a real sense of community here thanks to a mix of residents from first-time buyers and down-sizers to young families. The one thing they all have in common is that they love living in a town centre location with fantastic transport links, shops, restaurants, schools and more, right on their doorstep.”
The Governmentâs Help to Buy scheme also has attracted buyers to the market, allowing them to purchase a house with just 5% deposit. More than 10 homes have been sold through the scheme at the development.
Muse has also sold more than 30 homes at The Residence, its second Doncaster scheme based in the Lakeside area of the town, located at the edge of more than 50 acres of lake and greenery.
Hollie Reynolds added: “Muse recognised the long-term benefits of investing in Doncaster and this is another great milestone which proves its potential is being realised.
“With the addition of new cultural facilities and quality homes adding to its already fantastic commuter links to Leeds, London and beyond, I’m sure we’ll see many more buyers choosing to put down roots in the town in the near future.”
