The new Brazilian eatery opens its doors in Leeds on 19th September.

New Brazilian restaurant set to arrive in Leeds city centre next month

Next month will see the arrival of a new Brazilian eatery at 2 Cloth Hall Street in Leeds city centre.

With 110 covers, the Bossa restaurant is located at the address formerly occupied by Zizzi and next door to Reds BBQ.

Bossa is old-fashioned Brazilian slang for doing something with particular charm, natural flair or innate ability, and bossa nova means ‘the new trend’.

Bossa will offer its own take on the Rodizio style of grilled meats cooked with a selection of sides and desserts.

Opening on September 19th, Bossa’s prices start at £17.90 for full Rodizio grill in the evening and £12.90 for lunch, offering seven cuts of meat, grilled in the South American tradition.

The Bossa menu includes the classic picanha (cap of rump), lamb, chicken thighs and sausages, with a different meat special offered every week. A selection of sides cooked in a clay oven and salads are available to accompany the meats.

Francisco Martinez, the group executive head chef, said: “Simplicity can go a long way, but when you add the Bossa style to simple things you give them passion, and that is what we think people will feel about our food.

“We South Americans appreciate the simple yet finer things in life. At the heart of everything is family and friends. We share laughs and stories, we want you to be yourself, there’s always a place for you at our table in Bossa.”

Bossa will comprise a modern Latin outlook – as the surfaces will be a collage of rough sawn timber, herringbone tiles and painted brickwork, and décor mingles traditional Brazilian dark wood with painted signage and spray-stencilled patterns.

Robert Melman, director, added: “Leeds is growing as a food and drink destination and we are confident that Bossa is the right offer for casual diners in the city centre looking for high-quality, great value eating out experience.”
