NCS Music Night #Drop The Mic
We are a part of the NCS (National Citizen Service) and as part of our final challenge, we have planned a social action project. We have organised a “Drop the Mic” Night, where local acts will be performing at the Vault in Stockton.
We hope to raise money to be donated to the RVI’s children’s hospital due to its personal influence on one of our team members. We also wish to donate to the Grafter’s Club who help to treat burns victims and who played a key role in the recovery of another member of our team.
We have decided to do this activity after two weeks focused towards leadership, confidence and teamwork. As well as this we have attended a lecture about social enterprise lead by Melody Hossaini, a finalist of the Apprentice. Through this we have been able to put these new skills to work by organising a social action project. As well as letting us develop our new skills, it has taught us some crucial skills needed in future life.
We plan to open it from 6pm-10pm for under 18’s with a £3 entry fee. Food and drinks can be received from the Vault at various prices.
