East Ardsley new homes scheme sells 98% of properties
Miller Homes has now sold 98% of the 247 new homes it built in the West Yorkshire village of East Ardsley.
The national housebuilder will soon draw its six-year-long strategic house building plan in East Ardsley to a close.
Jan Hanaby, area sales manager Miller Homes Yorkshire, said: “Stonebridge Fold has been a very popular development and has provided new homes for first time buyers through to families and retired couples.
“It is pleasing to have created such a lovely community and as we enter the final phase of the development.”
In addition to homes, the housebuilder has supported the local community with investment in play areas for children, contribution to education within the village and the provision of housing association properties to support local councils in their bid to provide more housing.
Jan added: “It is important to us that we integrate with the local communities as we bring new homes to support generations buy new homes.
“Communities are not just about homes – it’s about a place where we can live, socialise, play and manage our lives and we work with local councils at planning stages to facilitate this.”
Currently, a small selection of two bedroom apartments and three bedroom homes are still up for sale, including detached and semi-detached styles.
The remaining homes are also available through the Government scheme, Help to Buy, which offers assistance for buyers who only have a small deposit of around 5% through the provision of a 20% equity loan.
This means that buyers only need to secure up to a 75% mortgage from a bank or building society.
Jan concluded: “Help to Buy can be a really useful option to help buyers break the renting cycle or move up the property ladder.
“It can make a real difference to buyers who may be struggling to save a large deposit yet have to balance the needs of their families too, it has certainly made a difference to many buyers at Stonebridge Fold.”
