American Airlines calls in top chefs for Manchester Business Class customers

American Airlines, one of the world’s largest carriers, has teamed up with two top chefs to enhance the on-board dining experience for customers travelling between Manchester and the US.

The company has announced a collaboration with British Michelin-Star chef Mark Sargeant, who has taken inspiration from his three UK restaurants to create a new Business Class menu for outbound flights.

Mark commented: “It is an honour to be asked to create a menu for the world’s largest airline.

“American has taken a leap to do something different and exciting, and my team and I have been very involved at every stage of the process.”

He added: “Together we have designed creative choices that are delicious and appealing to the eye, using great quality ingredients to get the palette watering at altitude.”

For Business Class customers flying from the US to Manchester, American has teamed up with TV chef Maneet Chauhan to develop a globally-inspired three-course à la carte menu, which includes kalette and saffron orzo salad and melon manchego carpaccio with lime among its appetisers.
