Oven Pride supports Manchester Pride
A famous face from TV joined a renowned drag artist in challenging Pride attendees to take part in a novel ‘clean up’ at Manchester Pride.
‘How Clean is Your House’ legend and clean queen Kim Woodburn, and celebrity drag artist Kitty Tray manned a specially commissioned sparkly golden oven to take on passers by in the ultimate cleaning challenge.
The UK’s best loved oven cleaner, Oven Pride, made in Manchester, cleaned up to join the annual Manchester Pride festivities, presenting and hosting its own interactive stand on Chorlton Street.
The annual celebration held close to Manchester’s vibrant gay village also welcomed a particularly dirty oven at the centre of Oven Pride’s stand, where passers rolled up their sleeves and challenge friends to clean it. Armed with nothing but a tooth brush, attendees had a minute to show what they could do, with some even challenging Kim and Kitty.
Commenting on the activity, Lyndsay Jones, Head of Marketing at Oven Pride, said: “We we’re delighted to support Manchester Pride this year and join in the celebrations. It’s the first time Oven Pride has taken part so we we’re really excited to see the reaction from the crowd. We hope this will be the start of a great partnership with Manchester Pride.”
Passers by saw glitter, rubber gloves and a host of colourful cleaning tackle as the stand ran a number of give-aways and competitions throughout the day, with prizes including branded t-shirts, fabulous customised marigolds, and Topshop and Selfridges vouchers.
Manchester Pride is one of the longest running Pride events within the UK, and attracts thousands of visitors to the city every year.
