Chester-based ADVANCE achieves £57.1m turnover
ADVANCE, a provider of employment and accounting services for contractors, has announced a 7% revenue increase.
The Chester-based firm’s turnover for the year ending March 31 2016 stood at £57.1m, up from £53.5m the year previous.
Shaun Critchley, the company’s managing director, has attributed the growth to ADVANCE’s rising number of recruitment agency partners.
He commented: “These results are pleasing and we’ve had an encouraging start to the new financial year, with revenues from April to August 3% ahead of forecasts.
“Following April’s legislation changes we have seen a significant growth in demand for our umbrella solution.”
He continued: “This is thanks to our expertise and experience in ‘supervision, direction or control’ (SDC), which we have built up since 2014 through our self-employment solution.
“Post-April our umbrella employees can – subject to their SDC status – still claim home-to-work travel and subsistence expenses. Mileage is variable and all other expenses are fixed.”
Speaking further, Shaun said ADVANCE’s “compliant approach” is proving to be “extremely appealing” both to agencies and contractors.
The firm has achieved six consecutive years of revenue growth since its was founded in 2010.
ADVANCE works with recruiters in a number of industries and sectors, including engineering, IT, media, life sciences, energy, education and construction.
MD Shaun added: “Our objective now is to continue to achieve sustainable growth while staying true to [our] principles.”
