Transmit Start-Ups Host Event for Budding Entrepreneurs
In partnership with Newcastle City Council, Gateshead-based Transmit Start-Ups and sister company, Transmit Enterprise CIC are hosting a free business support event for start-ups and early-stage companies across the North East.
The ‘Taking Care of Business’ event will be held at the Business & IP Centre, Newcastle on the 15th of September and is open to founders of all types of businesses at all stages, from early-stage start-ups to entrepreneurs with a great business idea.
Event organiser Transmit Start-Ups is a national delivery partner of the Start Up Loans Company, a Government initiative, and offers start-up loans and business support to get businesses up and running across England and Scotland.
Set to mark over £2,500,000 worth of start-up loans delivered by Transmit Start-Ups to North East businesses, the event will run from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and will include a panel discussion on where to go for business advice and help, an exhibition area, networking and a keynote speech from Chair of the Innovation Board for the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, Professor Roy Sandbach.
Richard Myers, Commercial Director at Transmit Start-Ups, says: “To date, we have helped hundreds of entrepreneurs across the North East turn their business ideas into a reality. These informal events have been extremely popular in the past and provide start-up owners and those with great business ideas with the perfect platform to get their business ideas off the ground.
“Our Taking Care of Business series of events are popular because they are informal and completely free to attend. Business owners and the region’s future entrepreneurs can network and share their experiences, consult with business experts and learn about all the great start-up tools and support services that are available right here in the North East.”
