New Sunderland fitness venture creates 5 jobs

Sunderland gym manager Holly Mcbride Donaldson and fitness instructor Jennie Moyse have launched a new fitness venture, creating five new jobs.

Studio Zest Sunniside, also known as the Sophie Donethy Dance studio on Borough Road, is set to open its doors to the public on Monday, September 19.

The studio will provide classes for people of all ages and abilities, and will include a mixture of dance based classes, high intensity interval training and toning. It will also offer 11 new ladies only classes each week.

Holly, from Sunderland, who will continue to be manager with Sea Road based Club Zest after joining the team almost 15 years ago, said, “There has been scope for Jennie and I to offer new classes for some time now, and I am excited to say that it has now been launched.

“Fitness and wellness is so important now, so we want to provide as many opportunities for the people of Sunderland as possible. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what fitness level you are at, there is something for everyone.

“We want to always make people feel comfortable, but still challenge them to help them achieve their goals. Our talented instructors are all well experienced and fantastic at what they do, so I can’t wait to hear the feedback and hear about the results that the members of each class achieve.”

Jennie, a 23-year-old fitness instructor from South Shields, is the co-founder and lead instructor at Studio Zest, she said: “We know health is a big issue currently and people are now starting to realise how important it is to fit exercise into their busy week.

“We are providing efficient classes at the most convenient times for most people along with advice and guidance on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

Classes will be ran from 5:15pm and 6:15pm on weeknights and 9:15 and 10:15 on a Saturday. Members can sign up by contacting either Holly on 07708361950 or visiting the Studio Zest Facebook page, which is also running a competition to win five free classes.
