Charity Sporting Dinner with Jamie Peacock
To celebrate the work of Leeds Mencap and to secure the charity’s future, rugby legends past and present are getting together on Thursday 3rd November at The Premier Suite of Headingly Carnegie Stadium for what promises to be a spectacular evening. Book your table of 10 now for only £650.
In partnership with Barclays, Squire Patton Boggs and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation all proceeds of Leeds Mencap’s sporting dinner will go to support people with a learning disability across Leeds. Guests will enjoy a three course dinner, meet Leeds Rhinos legends and enjoy both a live and silent auction.
A player of undoubted talent, determination and commitment to the game of Rugby, guest speaker Jamie Peacock MBE will inspire and motivate and the charity is also delighted to be offering dinner with Jamie, named as the best forward in the world, as an auction item.
Individuals with a learning disability find it harder than others to learn, understand and communicate. Leeds Mencap offers different levels of support to people with very different needs and aspirations, in order that they achieve their goals. During the evening guests will also hear of a parent’s first hand experiences and learn why the charity’s work is regularly described as a “lifeline”.
Helen Clarke, Personal Business and Corporate Banking has said this of the evening;
“Barclays is delighted to be partnering the Leeds Mencap Sporting Dinner in November, as part of their “5 million young futures” program, which involves supporting children form all sorts of different backgrounds to help them in achieving their aspirations. The work that Leeds Mencap does is pioneering in terms of the education and support they provide for children and young adults with learning disabilities.”
