Local environmental consultancy honoured at top industry awards

Sheffield-based Enzygo, one of the UK’s fastest growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancies, has been ‘highly commended’ at the prestigious 2016 Environmental Analyst (EA) Business Excellence Awards.

The EA Awards, held in London on 28 September, represent the pinnacle of success in UK environmental consultancy and are designed to recognise and applaud business achievement over the past 18 months.

The judges felt that Enzygo deserved to be highly commended in the SME Business Excellence Award category, having demonstrated an impressive journey of profitable growth, and in its recent financial years, achieving some particularly impressive margins for a small firm. The company currently comprises around 30 staff based in offices in Sheffield, Bristol and Manchester, but has ambitions to grow beyond this level by the end of the next financial year, and is actively exploring opportunities for mergers and acquisitions.

Matt Travis, director of Enzygo and based at the company’s Sheffield office, said:

“This is our first major industry award and is recognition of the quality of the work that we perform and the dedication our team of consultants put into each and every project.”

“We’re truly flattered to have been chosen from over 50 entries and so we’d like to thank the Environmental Analyst panel for recognising the phenomenal growth we’ve enjoyed since our launch in 2008.”

Enzygo has also been shortlisted, in two categories, at this year’s Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards, due to be held at the Magna Science Adventure, Rotherham, on Friday 14th October.
