National toy retailer comes to Lowry Outlet at MediaCityUK
Independent toy retailer Toytown has opened a new store within the Lowry Outlet shopping complex at MediaCityUK.
The firm agreed to take a 2,631 sq ft unit on the first floor, next to Cuppa Coffee.
Toytown, which operates a UK-wide network of 26 stores, stocks brands such as Lego, Hasbro, Playmobil, Vtech, Marvel and Disney.
Toytown’s managing director, Alan Simpson, said the expansion into MediaCityUK demonstrates the company’s “continued growth”.
He said: “We are delighted to have opened a new store at Lowry Outlet.
“We pride ourselves on offering the widest range of toys available of the high street at fantastic prices.”
Lowry Outlet is owned by investment firm Peel Land and Property Group.
The managing director of Peel Outlets, Jason Pullen, commented: “Toytown is well known for its diverse range of brands and marks the first toy store to come to Lowry Outlet, which we are confident will bring more families to the outlet.
“It is a very welcome addition to our retail offering at Lowry Outlet.”
Adrian Wright, the leasing director at Peel Outlets, said: “Lowry Outlet is creating a major lifestyle and leisure experience and the independent retailer Toytown will add more of a family offering at the outlet.”
In addition to its outlet shops, the complex houses a number of restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as a Vue cinema and a Virgin Active Gym.
