Nimbus 2000s flying in to Terminal 5 as the Harry Potter Shop comes to Heathrow
Harry Potter fans travelling through Heathrow Airport will soon be able to visit a new outlet of the Harry Potter Shop which is set to open this November at Terminal 5.
The new 600 sq ft store will open on 18 November following the security check at the terminal and follows the success of the Potter shop located at Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station.
Stocking a range of product lines and items from J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, including clothing, collectibles, accessories and gifts, as well as merchandise from the West End play and the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film.
Heathrow’s Commercial Director, Jonathan Coen, commented: “We are really pleased to welcome the new Harry Potter Shop to Terminal 5. Harry Potter is loved across the globe and what better place to enjoy gift and souvenirs from the Wizarding World before our passengers fly to the other side of the world.
“We hope our customers enjoy everything the new store has to offer as they take a little magic with them.”
The Heathrow shop has been produced by Jonathan Sands, who is chief executive of the Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾ King’s Cross Station, and in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Ahead of the opening, Paul Bufton, Vice President, Licensing and Business Development EMEA, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, added: “Drawing on the huge success of the Platform 9 ¾ King’s Cross Station shop, we are delighted to be able to announce The Harry Potter Shop at Heathrow.
“This exciting shopping experience will offer fans a wide range of products from souvenirs to collectibles, along with exclusive Platform 9 ¾-inspired products to take on their journeys as they travel the world.”
