Barnsley signage firm takes on global orders following Yorkshire Bank deal

A Barnsley-based signage firm has significantly expand and taken on global orders resulting in a substantial increase in turnover, due to support from Yorkshire Bank.

Family-owned Totty Signs (Brian Totty Signs and Design Limited) has been making signs in Yorkshire for more than 35 years.

Established by Brian and Gloria Totty as a traditional sign writers and screen printers, the company is now a sign and print manufacturer, with in-house design studios and the latest technology.

Totty Signs has continued to grow year on year and over the past 12 months, the company has seen a spike in turnover following an influx in enquiries from a number of global brands looking to open premises across the country.

To process orders, a substantial increase in cash-flow was required which Yorkshire Bank provided. The deal was delivered by Jonathan Fletcher, relationship manager at the Bank’s business and private banking centre in Barnsley.

With the increased cash-flow, Totty Signs has been able to service customers such as Taco Bell UK, Ardagh Group, Dunkin’ Donuts, HSBC and Alton Cars.

The Totty team, made up of 14 staff including a complement of designers, fabricators and installation staff, along with Brian’s son Jason Totty and daughter Debbie Brown, are looking to expand the business in the near future.

We never say no to a customer and we look forward to growing the business and employing more staff in the near future.”
