Simply Better Events &Skipton Building Society Award Win

Simply Better Events has been crowned winner at the 2016 C&IT Awards for its work with Skipton Building Society.

The Conference & Incentive Travel Excellence Awards celebrate companies applying best practice to the creation, planning, production and management of innovative and successful events within B2B sectors. The awards are open to all companies running events both in the UK and overseas. The prestigious ceremony, attended by hundreds of events professionals, was held at the Hilton London, Park Lane.

The award, in the ‘Creative Solutions Categories’, for ‘Best Use of a Small Budget’ was for ‘Skipton Direct Festival 2015’. Simply Better worked within a restricted budget, to create an event that was imaginative and achieved the organisation’s objectives to increase colleague engagement.

The festival was such a success that Skipton Building Society has recently run it again, including more of its team this year.

Claire Davey, Director of Direct Distribution, Skipton Building Society, said: “We are really pleased to have been part of this joint award. From the planning stages to the day of the event, we worked closely with the team at Simply Better Events. This meant we could adapt our plans along the way to keep within budget and also to make sure we kept the theme we were looking for. The actual event was a real success and the team are already asking about next year! I can genuinely say that working with Simply Better on this event, and others, is a true partnership.”
