Parseq reveal plans to create 450 jobs with second Sunderland site

Plans for a new 36,000 sq ft call centre at Sunderland’s Doxford International Business Park are set to create 450 new jobs in the region.

Contact centre firm Parseq are to launch the new facility, which will be housed next to the business’ current operation on the business park, following a string of big contract wins this year.

The firm services a range of blue-chip clients, including EDF Energy and SunLife, and employs over 1,300 people in Sunderland alone.

Expanding on Parseq’s expansion plans, Managing Director of Contact Centres, Graham Stein, commented: “Since March of this year we’ve created 200 new roles and we plan to increase this by a further 450, with recruitment starting immediately and into 2017.

“Sunderland has a rich employment and business network and it’s this, combined with our unique approach to working with businesses to provide outsourced services, which is enabling us to reap rewards and reinvest in the city.”

The new property at Doxford has the potential to house up to 900 employees and Stein said that the business services firm was looping to take the business to a ‘completely new level’ at the site.

He added: “Sunderland has always had a good reputation for contact centre business, but we plan to take it to a completely new level with the development of our new site.

“Our vast experience in the sector and those of our clients mean that we’ve got insight few others can claim. We’re looking forward to opening our second site in the city and creating hundreds of new roles.”

Parseq’s success is also set to see expansion and recruitment across its UK operations, which encompasses sites in Glasgow, Rotherham, London and Brighton, where it hopes to add to its over 2,000-strong workforce.
