Agents appointed on Liverpool’s £200m New Chinatown scheme

Liverpool-based Bluerow Homes has been appointed to market the city’s multi-million pound Chinatown project.

Developer North Point Global has named the independent letting agency as sub agent on the £200m scheme.

Once complete, Liverpool’s New Chinatown will create 850 new homes within the oldest Chinese community in Europe, in addition to 15,000 sq ft of retail and commercial space.

Helen Griffin-Booth, director of Bluerow, said: “The development of Chinatown is perhaps the most exciting project underway in Liverpool and we are delighted to be working with a number of other agents on this landmark scheme.

“The site is just a stone’s throw away from our Duke Street office and so the Bluerow team have a keen eye on the development.”

She continued: “The development is central to the city’s role within the Northern Powerhouse and is especially ripe for overseas investment.

“I think the new Chinatown will go a long way in putting Liverpool firmly on the radar of overseas investors.”

The first phase of the project is due for completion in 2017, with the rest to be delivered by 2019.
