Tottenham Hotspur stadium: Plans for glass team tunnel to give fans ‘unrivalled’ access to players

Plans for a revolutionary glass team tunnel at Tottenham Hotspur’s new Northumberland Park stadium development have been revealed in plans submitted to Haringey Council.

The Premier League club’s proposed ‘tunnel club’ would give fans a direct view into the team tunnel on matchdays from a new restaurant within the ground, along with player specification dugout-style seats.

Touted as a ‘super premium’ club membership option, the proposed tunnel club would presumably add another tier of packages to the club’s corporate offering as a way to recoup some of the £450m outlay on Spurs’ new north London home.

While a UK football first, Premier League rivals Manchester City were rumoured to be working a similar glass players tunnel based on a concept by NFL team the Dallas Cowboys.

Work began this year on Tottenham Hotspur’s new 61,000 seater stadium which is scheduled to open in time for the 2018/19 season.

The club are set to leave their White Hart Lane home this season, with all their home fixtures taking place at Wembley next year.
