Wirral-based Penketh Group celebrates 40th anniversary with record turnover
North West design firm Penketh Group is set for a record year as it marks its 40th anniversary.
The Wirral-headquartered company is on track to hit a turnover of £11.3m, up from £10m in 2015.
Penketh, which offers design services covering furniture, interiors and technology, is led by MD Mark Penketh, his brothers and co-directors Simon and Andy, and their senior management team.
Mark commented: “We are proud that, in our 40th year, we continue to go from strength to strength as a business.
“One of our strengths is that we have always been willing to reinvent ourselves, identifying opportunities and then putting in place plans to make the most of them.”
He continued: “For example, when we moved to Bromborough we took the decision to move away from print and instead provide a managed print service.
“More recently, we have invested significantly in growing the office furniture side of the business, building expertise in creating exceptional working environments for our clients which help them achieve the best possible levels of productivity and employee engagement.”
The company was founded in 1976 and has operated at its current offices on Croft Business Park, Bromborough, since 1988. Within 10 years, Penketh Group grew its turnover from £1m to more than £5m and its workforce from 26 to 74.
Earlier this year, Penketh Group rebranded from Penketh’s and launched a new Manchester office after being selected as a North West partner for US-based office furniture firm Steelcase.
