Bonnie Gull is bringing seaside favourites to Soho this December
UK seaside restaurant Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack is opening its second outlet in the capital this winter, bringing its fresh fish and shellfish dishes to Soho.
The new eatery, due to open in December on Bateman Street in Soho, will be serving up its range of British seaside favourites, with fresh fish direct from British day-boats, and menus changing depending on each day’s catch.
Executive Chef, Christian Edwardson’s menu will be heavily focused on small plates, with sample dishes including squid toast, Wild Hayle mussels and Dorset white crab meat.
The interior of the new 23-cover restaurant has been designed by designers Coriander Buildings, whose previous work includes Riding House Cafe and Blixen, and will draw on influences from the ‘British coastline’ to create the atmosphere of a seaside shack in the centre of London.
Seating space will also be at a premium, with small tables situated at the rear giving precedence to the bar area where patrons can sit and watch chefs prepare plates in the open plan kitchen.
The new venue joins Bonnie Gull’s original Seafood Shack in Fitzrovia and its cafe concept at Exmouth Market which opened in April.
