Hospitality professionals announce Cheshire acquisition after launching Taylormade Hotel Management

A new hotel management company has launched in Cheshire and announced its first acquisition.

Taylormade Hotel Management was founded by Carole Taylor, Tony Biddlecombe and John Maskell to support independent three- and four-star venues with the potential to grow and develop.

On the back of launching their new enterprise the trio, who have more than 85 years of combined hospitality sector experience, have completed a deal for Taylormade to acquire the 59-bedroom Hollin Hall Country House Hotel in Bollington, near Macclesfield.

The company was supported in the transaction with an undisclosed funding package from the Manchester team at Allied Irish Bank (GB).

Located on the outskirts of Bollington village, Hollin Hall Hotel is a Tudor Gothic property built in 1856. In addition to its guest rooms, the venue houses conference and banqueting facilities.

Carole Taylor, executive director at Taylormade Hotel Management, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to have launched Taylormade Hotel Management and delighted that the first hotel within our portfolio is one that we also have a significant financial interest in.”

Carole, Tony and John are the hotel’s founder shareholders

She continued: “Our strategy will be based upon taking mid to upper service independent hotels and using our extensive experience to further develop, improve and grow their hotel operations and profitability.

“We are assessing all current management opportunities presented to us in a bid to grow our portfolio of hotels.”

Allied Irish Bank (GB) relationship manager David Booth said: “Carole is very well known across the hotel and leisure sector and has a superb track record of success along with her colleagues Tony and John.

“They are sure to make a great success of her ownership of Hollin Hall Hotel and we wish the team at Taylormade Hotel Management all the very best for the future.”
