London Cheap Eats is launching a series of £8 pop-up events across the capital
Food website London Cheap Eats has announced the inaugural event of its new £8 pop-up events series bringing cheap eats to foodies in the capital.
The food brand, which launched back in January, has revealed that Hoxton’s Clutch Chicken will be the first venue for its new events series, with further arrangements lined up with London eateries set to be announced in the coming months.
Taking place on Thursday 1 December, diners will enjoy 50% off the usual cost of a main and side at the free-range chicken restaurant, as part of London Cheap Eats’ campaign to make some of the capital’s less affordable restaurants more accessible.
Founder and food and travel writer Leyla Kazim said that the site had managed to leverage some of the relationships that had been developed across London’s hospitality scene in the last year to develop its ‘pocket-friendly’ series of dining events.
She said: “London Cheap Eats £8 Pop-Ups makes more of the capital’s restaurants accessible to those on a budget, and connects those restaurants to an audience that might not have considered them before.
“By collaboratively creating an £8 offering that works for both our readers and the venue itself, our exclusive London Cheap Eats £8 Pop-Ups provide unique opportunities for cash-strapped Londoner’s to experience more of the city’s dining scene.”
Since launching earlier in the year, London Cheap Eats has become a social phenomenon across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, with its team of writers reporting on some of the capital’s most affordable grub.
