Assassin Promotions draws on technology to refresh boxing
Boxing promoter and founder of Assassin Promotions Kaz Evans is changing the face of boxing, using a blend of innovative methods to shine the spotlight on a crop of exciting new fighters.
Kaz, based in Brighton is bringing boxing into the new age of technology, designing apps for all in his stable in a bid to raise profile and offer a platform for ticket sales.
Away from the bright lights of the O2 and Wembley Stadium often fighters starting out in the professional ranks need to sell large volumes of tickets to turn a profit. Assassin Promotions has recognised the struggles of these young prospects and has sought to draw on technology to really make a difference to their bottom line. Tickets can be bought directly through the app and will provide news updates to interested fans.
The founder of the thriving business has also recently started Assassin TV, a channel airing interviews with some of the country’s top boxing stars and capturing the atmosphere at press conferences all over the country.
Those signed to the Assassin brand have access to support from legal experts, PR professionals, digital media gurus, camera crews, partnerships and events managers, as well as a seasoned boxing promoter who knows the game inside out.
Kaz said, “It’s really about offering boxers a full service promotion from start to finish, guiding them through the process of turning professional and raising their profile as they progress through their career. There are a number of firms out there doing different aspects of promotion really well but we believe we have it all under the one roof.”
Some of the Assassin stable includes Ben Jones, Sam Jones, JJ McDonagh, Paddy McDonagh Alexei Collado, Max Wicks, and Vladimir Belujsky.
