Liverpool ONE set to welcome Yard & Coop chicken restaurant
Specialty fried chicken restaurant Yard & Coop is opening a new venue in Liverpool ONE this month, creating over 40 jobs.
Several local artists have already been commissioned to design the site, which will be split over 6,425 sq.ft. covering both the ground floor and basement levels of the space.
Owners Carl Morris and Laura Morris, who opened the first Yard & Coop in Manchester’s Northern Quarter 18 months ago, revealed a ‘fondness for Liverpool’ driving the desire to expand.
Laura said, “We’re incredibly excited to join the Liverpool ONE family and have spent lots of time developing a space that we can feel really proud of. We know Yard & Coop will offer something new for the city, so we can’t wait to open!”
Carl commented, “Yard & Coop is all about serving up proper fried chicken with tasty sides, classic cocktails and craft beers. We try to make each experience fun for our customers and pride ourselves on our passion for both the food and service we provide.
“When we started developing the menu for Yard & Coop, Laura was very passionate about the approach we should take. She has family in Kentucky and grew up around real southern food, so we knew buttermilk chicken would be the perfect choice.
“We taste tested over 250 recipes before we decided upon the perfect formula. We now believe we offer the best fried chicken in the North West and can’t wait for Liverpool to try it!”
