Festive fun for good causes around the globe
A niche IT recruitment agency has raised thousands of pounds for local charities around the world as part of a global dress down day.
As the festive holidays approach, Frank Recruitment Group have generously donated almost £4000 to eight charities in eight cities across the world.
Employees at the firm’s Newcastle-upon-Tyne offices, on Collingwood Street and Westgate Road, raised an incredible £1,671 for The Tiny Lives Trust, a charity that supports premature and sick new-born babies and their families on the Neonatal Unit at the RVI Hospital.
The fund aims to provide the highest quality of care on an ongoing basis and needs to raise at least £250,000 every year to support a range of facilities, staff and equipment.
Generous Tyneside employees also donated a meeting room full of toys for Metro Radio’s annual Mission Christmas toy drive.
In London, staff nominated Great Ormond Street Hospital as their chosen charity, donating £900 towards world-class care for young patients and their families.
In New York the company raised $964 for the social service agency Henry Street Settlement, adding to the incredible $5000 gifted to the charity at November’s New York City marathon.
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was the charity of choice for Philadelphia staff. The Singapore office also donated to a local children’s charity - MILK.
On the West Coast, the San Francisco office supported Project Homeless Connect, a charity that helps the homeless and low-income population.
In Australia, The Soup Place benefited from the generosity of the firm’s Melbourne staff as they helped feed the homeless.
The recently opened Berlin office also raised cash for a charity providing accommodation and a hot meal for the needy, Kältehilfe.
Kashif Naqshbandi, Chief Marketing Officer at Frank Recruitment Group, said: “It’s safe to say that our global dress down day was an incredible success.
“The generosity of our team continues to amaze me, and I’m delighted that we can all come together at this time of year to help the most vulnerable people in our communities.”
2016 has been a record-breaking year for Frank Recruitment Group.
Earlier this year the hotly-tipped firm secured landmark investment from the backers of Uber, helping the agency launch two new recruitment brands: Anderson Frank, which specialises in NetSuite staffing, and Pearson Frank, a leading Java, web and PHP recruiter.
As a result, the company’s headcount doubled from 600 to 1200 employees, with new offices opening in Philadelphia, Berlin and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
