Leisure contractor Medlock creates multi-million pound Lake District spa
North West leisure contractor Medlock FRB has finished work on a contract to create a new multi-million pound spa in the Lake District.
To build and fit-out the Brimstone Spa, located on the 35-acre Langdale Estate woodland retreat, the Medlock team removed existing treatment rooms and a bistro before constructing two extensions to accommodate the new spa facility.
The Oldham-based firm’s own joinery workshop supplied a number of components, including a bar counter and vanity units.
The Brimstone Spa offers guests a relaxation and wellbeing experience with 10 treatment rooms, seven thermal experiences, an outdoor sauna and a heated indoor/outdoor infinity pool, in addition to sleep pods, foot spas and a deli.
David Wheeler, commercial director at Medlock, said: “It’s been a privilege for Medlock to be involved in the regeneration of such a prestigious and high-quality estate.
“Over the past 12 months, we have had the pleasure of working closely with Langdale and their professional teams to successfully deliver two high-class projects.”
The project took 29 weeks and follows Medlock’s completion of the Stove restaurant and bar at Langdale.
Speaking further, David said: “Stove and Brimstone Spa have been finished to the highest quality and represent a new era for Langdale and their guests.
“We look forward to working with Langdale and the team again in the near future.”
