UK security provider secures multi-million pound contract with a US Federal Agency
Digital Barriers, the UK-based surveillance and security firm, has been awarded a pair of new contracts in the US and Africa worth a combined $7m.
The first contract, which is valued at $6m, will see the London-headquartered firm provide surveillance equipment to an unnamed US Federal law enforcement agency, delivering specialist equipment provided by one of Digital Barriers strategic partners.
It said the contract, which is with a pre-existing customer for its US subsidiary Brimtek, was awarded under a US procurement framework.
The second is a $1m contract with a new, unnamed African client to provide its ThruVis people screening body camera, which helps to identify concealed weapons and explosives at public events.
Zak Doffman, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Barriers, commented: “Our US business continues to make good progress, where we are utilizing the framework agreements in place to sell specialist technology to key government customers and generate follow-on sales.
“Today’s contract award continues to highlight the rationale for our acquisition of Brimtek, which enables us to sell and deliver a wider range of technologies into the US surveillance market.
“Meanwhile, the ThruVis contract award, into a new and important customer in Africa, again illustrates the uniqueness of this technology which delivers a level of protection unavailable from any other technology in the marketplace.”
