Double project delivery for Chester-based Hutcheon Construction

Contractor Hutcheon Construction has kicked off 2017 with the completion of two national projects.

The Chester-based company recently completed the fit-out of the ground floor of International House at shopping and leisure park Cheshire Oaks for property developer Prospect GB.

Now, Hutcheon is working to refurbish the site’s first floor.

Elsewhere, the company has completed a £500k project for property firm Vixcroft that included turning the food court at The Sovereign Centre in Weston Super Mare into six new outlets.

Hutcheon worked with Weir & Associates and Barber Design Architects on the scheme, which lasted six weeks and was carried out during the centre’s peak trading period.

Commenting on the project, Vixcroft director Simon Jones said: “Hutcheon Construction engaged early with the design team to produce a high quality spacious environment, which will appeal to new tenants and visitors alike.

“Their pragmatic approach to issues enabled the job to run smoothly, with the project completing early to a high standard, always demanded by Vixcroft. We look forward to negotiating future projects with Hutcheon Construction on our expanding property portfolio.”

Hutcheon Construction director Kurt Hutcheon said of the work: “We have developed longstanding relationships with both clients and are pleased to be working with them once again to help maximise the value of their property portfolios.

“Our company handles projects across a diverse range of sectors including office, retail and education and we have a healthy pipeline of work.”
