Masons Yorkshire Gin reports third year of triple digit growth as sales reach £1.23m
Masons Yorkshire Gin has reported a 100% increase in sales since last year.
As a result, 2016 was the third year of triple digit growth for the Bedale-based distillery with £1.23m worth of gin being sold.
Last year’s success was resulted in the business doubling staff members, in order to meet increased demand and provide over 37,500 litres of gin to national and international markets, equating to over 53,500 70cl bottles of the small batch product.
Karl Mason, Co-Founder of Masons Yorkshire Gin, commented: “Although 30% of our gin sales are from our home county in Yorkshire, the rest come from other parts of the UK showing there is a huge demand for premium gin across the country.
“We are really excited for what 2017 has to bring, with some exciting expansion plans in sight, we are also hoping continuously grow both at home and overseas.”
Since buying an exporting license last year, Masons Gin has completed 10 international deliveries.
In December 2016 alone, approximately £300k worth of bottles have been sold; resulting in up to 50 orders of gin being collected from the distillery per day.
