Outside the Heald Street chapel

Former Liverpool wedding chapel goes up for auction

An old wedding chapel in Liverpool is going up for sale next month alongside several other investment properties dotted around Merseyside.

The former chapel occupies 1,700 sq ft of land on Heald Street in Garston, Liverpool.

The site is being auctioned by estate agents Sutton Kersh from a guide price of £55k and will be showcased along with various other redevelopment opportunities.

Sutton Kersh associate director Cathy Holt said: “We have a number of hot properties amongst the 100 lots at our next auction so we’re expecting a lot of passionate bidding between bidders.”

The company is also preparing to auction off The Polaris Public House in Skelmersdale.

Sutton Kersh said the pub, which has traded for more than 16 years, is suitable for continued use but can also be redeveloped.

The site’s vendor currently has outline planning consent for a 36-apartment scheme.

Elsewhere in the February auction, a two-bed mid-terrace property in Kensington, Liverpool, will seek a buyer with a guide price of £65k.

According to Sutton Kersh, if turned into a student investment the property could deliver an income of around £9,000 per annum.
