P&O Ferries to set sail on new 'Made in Hull' cruise to Amsterdam and Rotterdam

A new cruise is preparing to set sail following on from Hull UK City of Culture 2017’s opening event ‘Made in Hull’.

P&O Ferries is launching the Made in Hull-themed mini cruise to showcase its partnership with Hull 2017.

The cruise, which sails to Amsterdam and Rotterdam on 24th February, will see local singers and songwriters, including rock’n’roll band Audio Subscene, psychedelic garage band The Black Delta Movement and ska band Bud Sugar, plus comedians Gary Jennison, Gina Jenkinson, Jack Gleadow, Jed Salisbury and Steve Rimmer.

Sarah Rosier, head of tourist sales and marketing at P&O Ferries, said: “We are excited to be at the heart of bringing new and repeat visitors to Hull and promoting the city as a cultural destination.

“Hull 2017’s first season Made in Hull celebrates the local talent so we wanted to show our support by putting something on that replicates that spirit on one of our ships.”

“P&O Ferries has embraced our opening season by choosing to showcase up-and-coming musicians and comics. But we also look forward to working with the team on a special project in our next season Roots and Routes, which will welcome talent from Rotterdam into the city.
