Developer LPC Living delivers 99 new homes in Ordsall
Developer LPC Living has completed the final phase of its Hulton Square scheme in Ordsall, adding 99 new properties to the area’s residential offer.
Located off Trafford Road near Salford Quays, the phase was delivered by Bolton-based building firm Forrest and designed by Manchester architects MPSL.
That last piece in the Hulton Square puzzle has been developed on a site overlooking Ordsall Park, which was landscaped recently and comprises a mixture of townhouses alongside one-, two- and three-bed apartments.
The project also included the resurfacing of roads and the creation of new public space known as the ‘Pocket Park’.
Hulton Square was launched in 2006 and forms part of the Ordsall Development Framework.
In partnership with Salford City Council, LPC Living was chosen as the lead developer for an 180-acre area stretching between Salford Quays and central Manchester.
LPC Living director Simon Ashdown said: “The completion of the Hulton Square development marks an exciting chapter in the story of Ordsall.
“The area has changed significantly from when we began our pioneering ‘Quay 5’ development on Ordsall Lane, which spearheaded much of today’s development and is testament to the success of the regeneration that has taken place.”
He continued: “With the refurbishment of Exchange Quay and as expansion of MediaCityUK, demand for residential property in the area is continuing to grow, both from young families and professionals alike. The latter are finding they get much more space for their money than in the city centre, which is only a nine-minute tram ride away from the nearby Salford Quays Metrolink.”
To do date, more than £100m has been invested in the regeneration in Ordsall, with LPC Living having created 672 homes in the area.
