This week’s Yorkshire appointments
headoffice3, the Leeds-based residential, commercial and education design and build specialist, added 6 new recruits since the beginning of 2017.
Sarah Jones joins as interior designer, Nikoleta Christopoulou as an architect, Michael Logue as a southern quantity surveyor, Thalia Plessia as an architectural assistant, James Carr as architectural technician and Martin Barber as southern managing quantity surveyor.

headoffice3, based in Stanningley, has seen almost a 300% raise in turnover in the last 3 years and is currently working on schemes in Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, London and Bristol.
Nina Glover, Crystal MacLeod, Saba Maskin and Prince Limon, Yonder
Yonder, the Leeds-based construction industry adviser, has recruited four new team members.
Yonder has hired building physics engineers Nina Glover and Saba Maskin, plus senior sustainability consultant Crystal MacLeod and junior building physics engineer Prince Limon.
The new arrivals take the firm’s workforce to 13.
Ms Glover was previously building physics project manager with London-based BMT Fluid Mechanics for four years. She earlier spent seven years as a PhD student in environmental engineering at the capital’s University College.
She was also a research associate at Cambridge University for a year, where she helped to design a new building physics lecture course for undergraduate engineers, and has a first-class degree in maths from Kings College, London.
Ms Maskin was previously a building physics engineer for a year with Swindon-based Method Consulting after securing first-class honours and master’s degrees in energy engineering at Leeds University.
Yonder has recruited Ms MacLeod from Devon-based AES Sustainability Consultants, where she spent over three years as a senior sustainability consultant. She was previously sustainability manager for the northern region of construction company Willmott Dixon for five years and had spells totalling 15 months as a graduate environmental consultant at Leeds-based Enviros and BWB Consulting, in Derby and Leeds.
A University of Virginia graduate in environmental science, Ms MacLeod has a master’s degree in sustainability, environmental consultancy and project management from Leeds University.
Mr Limon has National Vocational Qualifications at level three in electrical and electronics equipment installation and repair from Leeds City College and in building services engineering from Leeds College of Building.

“We received some help from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership when moving offices from Harrogate to Leeds late last year. A condition of this assistance was that we created at least three new full-time jobs and one part-time role within 18 months. Our growth is so spectacular at present that we’ve achieved this expansion within a few weeks.”
Megan Paul, LCF Law
Megan Paul has joined LCF Law’s Bradford office as a solicitor in its Personal Law team.
She joins from Irwin Mitchell in Leeds and specialises in producing statutory wills, for people who lack the capacity to make a will themselves, and Court of Protection work, which often involves managing the financial affairs of people who are unable to do so due to their mental capacity, as well as liaising with their families.
Megan also handles deputyship applications, wills, trusts as well as lasting and enduring powers of attorney.
She regularly delivers seminars and presentations on these subjects to schools, parent groups, charities and other relevant organisations.

Robin Finnis, Chamber International
Chamber International, the Bradford-based overseas trade specialist, has appointed a new logistics associate as part of its team to assist UK exporters.
Logistics and supply chain professional, Robin Finnis, is advising clients from multi-national companies to new-start businesses in Yorkshire and throughout UK, on logistics and supply chain strategies worldwide.
Robin is a fellow of the Institute of Freight Personnel and member of the Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transport. He is currently helping a specialist electrical supplier to ship its first consignment to the Middle East and managing a major import of solar energy components from China for a UK company.
He has 45 years global experience in international logistics, covering all forms of transport, including hazardous shipments, and provides logistics consultancy to companies in North Africa and Germany.
He also has experience of shipping using the railway systems within China and Russia some of which involved out-of-gauge loads.“

Mike Gorman, CBRE
Residential specialist Mike Gorman has been appointed as head of northern residential investment in the northern UK development and residential capital markets team at CBRE.
Mike will be working from CBRE’s Leeds and Manchester offices.
Mike first joined CBRE’s Leeds division in June 2014 as director of residential investment and development. The team focuses on sourcing funding for residential development, investment opportunities and advises the private rental sector, offering strategic advice to land owners, developers and investors.
A chartered surveyor, Mike has expert knowledge of the residential property market and his specialisms include residential investment, development consultancy, site acquisition as well as disposal and residential valuations.
CBRE’s regional UK development and residential capital markets team, headed up by senior director Steven Verity, is based in the firm’s Manchester office and covers the North West and North East. It doubled in size last summer in response to market demand for its services.
The team includes Directors Alistair Chapman, John Dunlop and Bernadette McQuillan, and Associate Rebecca Harper, Senior Surveyor Jessica Haigh and Surveyor Tom Sinclair

Mike Hackett, The Royal Bank of Scotland
The Royal Bank of Scotland has announced the appointment of Mike Hackett as director of the real estate and healthcare team for the Yorkshire and North East region.
Mike will be based at the bank’s ‘The Embankment’ office on Sovereign Street in Leeds and is responsible for managing a team of relationship managers and relationship directors located across the region in offices in Leeds, Newcastle, Hull and Sheffield.
Mike re-joins the bank from Santander, where he held the role of regional director of business development for the North.

Gary Monaghan (pictured) and Hazel Anstey, G3 Group
G3 Group, the Leeds-based turnkey automotive brand, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of an operations director and a client relationship manager, taking its headcount to 65.
Gary Monaghan takes the reins of the company’s operational processes, across all business sectors, including G3 Remarketing and Asset Management. He joins G3 with an array of operational, commercial and IT experience in the remarketing industry, spanning all sectors.
Previously the operations director and co-founder of JTK Automotive Ltd – an online remarketing business – Gary was responsible for all business processes, IT product and development. The company was acquired by British Car Auctions in 2009, where he continued to work until 2014.
Gary’s appointment coincides with the recruitment of Hazel Anstey, who will take on the newly created position of client relationship manager.
Joining the team from Bluestone Credit Management, Hazel is set to maintain rapport with current clients, allowing G3’s internal account managers to focus on sales.
G3’s director Matt Dale said: “We’re going through a period of fast growth, as we’ve expanded our auction and debt recovery functions. So, we required two experienced individuals who we knew could take the business to the next level.
