BAPTL acquired the freehold for 20 Chapel Street last year

Orega to launch 18,000 sq ft serviced office in Liverpool

Serviced office provider Orega is establishing a new base in Liverpool.

The company has exchanged contracts with British Airways Pension Trustees Limited (BAPTL) for almost 18,000 sq ft at 20 Chapel Street.

Following the deal, Orega will occupy part of the building’s first and second floor on a 10-year lease.

The space is now being refurbished ahead of the firm’s move this June.

Orega MD Zach Douglas said: “Orega is delighted to announce it has exchanged contracts to create another business centre with landlord BAPTL.

“We are excited about our flourishing relationship with BAPTL and look forward to providing a new, professional working environment to entrepreneurs and businesses in Liverpool with a trusted landlord who is investing heavily in the building.”

A number of tenants at 20 Chapel Street have re-signed their leases, including professional services giant Ernst & Young LLP, Japanese tech firm Fujitsu and accountants RSM.

Zach added: “The new centre will be our first in Liverpool, offering fully serviced offices, modern meeting rooms and excellent break out areas in one of the city’s most striking buildings.”

The freehold for 20 Chapel Street was purchased last year on behalf of BAPTL by commercial property firm Canmoor.

Sam Walker, director at Canmoor, commented: “The last few months have been extremely positive and it’s great to see new tenants as well as existing occupiers signing up to long term leases.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Orega in the summer, as well as the mix of SMEs that use Orega’s offices, which will add to the vibrancy of the building.”

20 Chapel Street was built in 2008 and houses 155,000 sq ft of Grade-A office space across 15 storeys.
