DueDil aiming to become world's 'largest source of company information' with European expansion

Business intelligence platform, DueDil, is to grow its company information database to include 40m European firms in one of the biggest-ever updates to its database.

The London-headquartered firm, which allows users to look up wide-ranging company information, is adding information for 29m business spread across France, Germany, Benelux and the Nordics after receiving grant money from European Commission at the end of 2016.

It said the additional data will help to open up new European trade and business opportunities for UK firms casting their eyes abroad, and is the first step on the road to collating information on 100m business by the end of the year.

Currently, the platform hosts information for over 11m companies in the UK and Ireland, pulling information from sources including Companies House. The planned updates to its database look set to make it one of the world’s most comprehensive sources of company information.

Commenting on its expansion plans, Damian Kimmelman, CEO of DueDil, said, “Private companies are the lifeblood of the UK and European economy. However, as countries become more insular in their mindset, the levels of trust towards businesses from other countries will decline.

“Clearly trade must continue if we are to create thriving businesses and prosperous economies. Our hope is that by making private company information more accessible across Europe, we can help re-cast trust in cross-border trade in this brave new world.”
