Pochin’s to build £12m Crewe HQ for Radius Payment Solutions
North West construction business Pochin’s Ltd has signed a deal to make logistics and fleet services provider Radius Payment Solutions the sole occupier of its as-yet undeveloped plot at Crewe Business Park.
Following the deal, Pochin’s will create a new multi-million pound HQ for Radius at the site, having secured planning permission from Cheshire East Council earlier this week (March 1).
The £12m office scheme will be named Admiral Court and house 500 staff across four storeys.
Work on the project, which will include communal meeting areas, a café and a gym, is forecast for completion in Spring 2018.
Pochin’s director Bob Nicholson said: “We’ve been working closely with Cheshire East Council to find a high quality occupier that would provide the right company for the businesses already established at Crewe Business Park.
“We’ve found that in Radius, who will now benefit as the long-term leaseholder through the build of an HQ designed specifically to drive their growth plans.”
He continued: “Part of our long-standing commitment to the region is to bring forward quality employment space in Cheshire, and to demonstrate its potential in the continued growth of the North West economy.
“Crewe in particular is developing a strong reputation for business as well as exceptional connectivity to the rest of the North West, with Junction 16 of the M6 on its doorstep, Manchester Airport only a stone’s throw away and the plans for HS2 confirmed.”
Consultants on the development include How Planning, ABA Consultants, AEW Architects, SI Sealy and Abacus.
Radius Payment Solutions’ owner, Bill Holmes, commented: “It was extremely important for us that we could match the success of the business with a high quality working environment.
“Staying within Crewe was really important for us from a continuity perspective so this undeveloped plot provided the perfect location.”
He added: “We’ve been highly impressed by Pochin’s proposals, as well as their track record on commercial projects in the region, making them the right choice to bring our plans to fruition.”
Legat Owen and Matthews & Goodman are the appointed agents for Admiral Court.
