Flintshire-based tuition firm expands due to growth
An educational tuition firm has opened a second learning room on Mold Business Park, following an increase in learners attending its sessions.
Creative in Learning, which opened in 2014 and offers English and maths tuition for pupils aged 5-18, has expanded to two dedicated learning centres for students.
The additional space means primary and secondary pupils will be taught in separate rooms, helping address the variety of learning styles for each age group and the specific National Curriculum requirements..
Two current head teachers Darren Martin and Alison Matthias run Creative in Learning, which is an alternative to school and home tuition. It boasts fully equipped learning centres, and aims to provide a relaxed environment in which all pupils are encouraged to succeed.
The expansion is set to further help the development of learners attending tuition sessions.
Darren said: “Our second room is brilliant news for us as it is not only a milestone for the business, but more importantly it will benefit our learners.
“Creative in Learning is a tuition centre that aims to go beyond enhancing knowledge of a particular subject by inspiring lives for a brighter future.
“We not only teach children how to learn but also how to succeed in school and life. We believe that we are preparing them for 21st century jobs in giving them the skills that will help them navigate their way through a very uncertain, but exciting, future.
“If you think about it, it’s only 10 years ago that social media marketing or blogging didn’t exist as a career option for school leavers.
“Who knows what jobs they will be applying for in the future.
“We’ve seen success across all of our classes so far, with 100 per cent of regular secondary school attendees securing A-C grades in their first year of English and maths exams.”
Alison said: “The additional space means we’ll be able to teach more students in the best way possible, simultaneously providing one to one support to make sure everyone achieves their potential.”
For one Mold student, the tuition played a key role in earning top grades at GCSE level. Her Mum, Andrea Hill, said: “My daughter attended weekly tutor sessions for maths in the run up to her GCSEs and she achieved two A* grades in maths and numeracy.
“The tutor sessions gave her the opportunity to practise and reinforce her knowledge, and this combined with her hard work has really paid off.”
Sessions, which can be held in small groups on a maximum of four pupils to one tutor, or on a one-to-one basis, are delivered from Monday-Friday at its learning centre based on Mold Business Park.
Its tutors are practising and retired teachers and university lecturers, as well as A-level students from Mold Alun who achieved A* in maths or English in their GCSE.
