Lancashire’s Boost backs digital portal for county businesses

Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, Boost, has committed to backing a growing digital portal aimed at helping businesses in the county.

Boost confirmed it will now work with Lancashare, an online resource supporting business owners and managers across Lancashire by encouraging cooperation and networking.

Lancashare’s aim is to unite the county’s business community through a single resource that allows them to liaise, generate leads, share best practice, support other local companies and find out about funding available.

The portal also gives members information on events, awards, training and networking groups.

Lancashare director Lisa Edge said: “The response to Lancashare has been overwhelming and we’re thrilled to have Boost on board.

“As part of the deal, the range of business support options available from Boost have been listed on Lancashare’s business support portal.”

“I’ve been part of the business community in Lancashire for almost 20 years and I have seen first-hand the difference that the support available through Boost can make to a business.

Boost programme manager Andrew Leeming said: “Supporting Lancashare makes perfect sense for Boost, we’re both working with and advising ambitious businesses and many of the services each party offers complement one another, making us ideal partners.

“The Lancashare portal is of huge value to the county’s businesses – encouraging the development of local supply chains and collaborative working that will help the county’s businesses to get growing.”
