Fast-growing franchise set to reduce Belfast’s waistlines
Northern Ireland’s fastest growing lifestyle franchise is set to take Belfast by storm with the opening of its’ first group in the city.
The launch of the fifteenth We Slim Together marks a significant milestone for founder Sonya McAllister, from Randalstown, who has built the franchise business from an online support group into a Northern Ireland-wide operation.
Expansion plans continue apace for the proactive mum of three who hopes to launch three new Northern Ireland groups in the next three months as well as take the model UK wide in Summer 17.
“Obesity levels are at an all time high and more and more people are struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle. That is where our unique support system comes into play.
“The response from members has been phenomenal and our groups open in response to direct demand and can be a great income stream for consultants.
“We are offering them the opportunity to not only improve their own lives, but also develop their groups into a profitable business that could allow them to totally transform their lives physically and financially.”
Launching under the guidance of Catherine Kidd, group members are set to benefit from her experience with the programme, which saw her lose an astounding 4 stone in just one year.
Opening on 20th March 2017, the anniversary of Catherine reaching her target weight in March 2015, the new group will be based in Skegoneill Nazerene Church in Belfast.
Catherine said, “After two years as a group member and part of the social team in Glengormley, I decided I wanted to give back a little bit more, so applied to be a consultant.
“Having experienced the programme and successfully losing the weight is great, but isn’t enough. This is a business and I needed more training to help me prepare properly.
The training I got was second to none and really harnessed my initial enthusiasm and showed me how to work with and help the diverse range of issues and people that I would come across. I cannot wait to run my own business, as well as help people on their healthy eating journey.“
Sonya McAllister developed the We Slim Together plan while dropping from a dress size 26 to a 14 and learned how to adapt her favourite foods to her new way of life.
Along the way, Sonya shared her weight loss journey online, publishing recipes she’d adapted to her own style of tasty-but-good-for-you cooking, and supporting others on a similar journey.
A community soon developed around her and Sonya was soon supporting a group of over 3,000 members online.
We Slim Together’s success continues, with new groups opening throughout Northern Ireland, while online members from across the world gain direct access to the support and assistance that makes We Slim Together so unique.
The groups are different and special because the team is there to help members reach whatever their individual goal is, whether that is weight loss, weight gain or a better relationship with food.
