Step inside interior design firm Space Zero’s new Manchester HQ

Interior design company Space Zero has completed the fit out of its headquarters in Manchester.

The 4,500 sq ft office, located at the Zenith Building on Spring Gardens, now comprises a meeting room, informal ‘dug out’ space for team collaboration, directors’ den, library and electronic height-adjustable desks.

Bolton-based trade services company Entire Projects delivered the makeover.

Space Zero relocated from Lloyd Street to the Zenith Building last year alongside business information publisher Bureau Van Dijk and private equity firm Palatine.

Wayne Taylor, chief exec of Space Zero, said: “Acting as the client, I’m sure I was far harder on the design team than most, but we saw this move as a real opportunity to show our quality and capabilities.

“We didn’t just want to create a nice office that suited our collective requirements today, it needed to embrace future trends, styles and technologies so that every visitor leaves feeling inspired about the possibilities for their own workspace.”

He continued: “Although it’s still early days, we have already seen a huge culture shift in the office, the general feeling is much more positive, the team is more enthusiastic and motivated to create inspirational environments for our clients.

“Staff are happier spending time on site, and they are staying and working longer as a result. Plus, we have seen a reduction in staff sick days.”
