Preston’s PWA Planning shores up growth plans with property acquisition
Planning consultancy PWA Planning is relocating to a new office in Preston to support its future growth plans.
The firm acquired premises in the city’s Riversway docklands area after outgrowing its current site at Ribble Saw Mill.
PWA Planning expects to move into its new base in the coming weeks, once the refurbishment work is complete.
Founded in 2013 by chartered town planner Paul Walton, the company has since expanded to employ an eight-strong team and secure work on schemes across the UK.
Paul said: “We’ve worked on some quality projects and landed some great clients in these last three years. We’ve now reached a stage where we need to move to grow to that next level.
“This move represents a significant investment in our future and we’re all excited to make it happen. We’ve bought the premises and this will give us the freedom and the space to carry on doing excellent work and helping our clients get their developments moving.”
The new office, located at Lockside Office Park, comprises 1,459 sq ft of internal floor space.
Paul continued: “We’ll continue to be at the centre of the North West where much of our work is based, and by staying in Preston we’ll continue to enjoy great connectivity to the rest of the UK for our projects further afield.”
PWA Planning is currently involved in the ongoing redevelopment of Preston’s Guild Hall and Guild Tower and Preston North End’s potential move to a new training facility at Ingol.
The firm is also working on a £100m Eco Park development in Gloucestershire.
